you people honestly thought A-net would not nerf the SC? UW done so quickly defeats the purpose of the underworld. Its not there to hand out ectos to people.

Does it matter they nerfed the eoc? Hell no what matters is the game is dying out cause of a total lack of interest why?

Well they're haven't been any nor any additions to the game in pve like for example other mmo's, which is one of the major reasons the game is dying out the only reason a lot of people i know still come on is to use GW as a fancy MSN chat client...

Most people have done pretty much everything in GW by now many times (including me)

And on the economy of GW hell there can't be an economy... why?
cause there is an unlimited supply...

Yes there is supply and demand true, but no matter how hard something is to get eventually it will be there...

I've never used an Essence of Celerity. I am shocked, appalled, and horrified that I will be deprived of the opportunity to abuse PvE by a ginormous, whopping 5%. This update is obviously a nefarious conspiracy to steal my ectos, and I am very upset. Proof of the nefarious and evil nature of this plot is evidenced by the glaring lack of notice in the update notes, and the deceiving description of the in-game item. It could not possibly have been a mistake or oversight; it most definitely is a sly attempt to steal my ectos, my precious ectos.

EOC is still THE best consumable, basically equalling to 10-skill skillbar.

That thing that I find interesting is why not just leave in game - why have a talk about reverting the change for a week.
I mean - if it's going to land and this is it - just leave it at that.
What if this isn't "it". What if it's part of the big plan - and that plan isn't just an all-around nerf to everything that is overpowered - but we might actually see some buffs (to already overpowered stuff) to compensate ...
SF-"nerf"-style ...

Ahh some good news on a Friday morning. Got no problems with EoC myself but UWSC was lameness personified. Nerf it outta existence.

I for one welcome our new Communist overlords, Capitalism clearly isn't working ...

Thumbs up

woohoo these are great news...
can't w8 till next week to see all changes

uw sc and permasins is a bad bad joke that should end NOW...
UW should be the hardest area to beat..not a walk in the park!

Thank you Anet...this is the right direction if you want to add some interest in the game again.
Even if it's too late, let's hope you got the message now.

You can still make a 4 hour balanced group to clear UW if you want the challenge. There are groups being made in ToA every day. If people want to drop coin on consumables to get to the end chest faster, increase their own skills (it's not a walk in the park, it takes a lot of concentration and knowledge of the areas), and have a good shot at some profitable items, why not let them?

SC'ers don't farm ectos unless they're done a long time before other members of the team...so ecto input into the economy is negligible with these clears. The only guaranteed ecto is from the end chest. I've never seen an eternal blade drop in my time in UW...and only about 4 celestial compasses. It's not an instant-rich team build, unlike some DoA speed run builds.

Eles can solo Ice Wastes, Chaos Plains, Chamber (inc. Unwanted Guests and Escort of Souls) with only a Candy Corn to boost Shadow Arts.

UW SC teams will simply adapt and continue farming, albeit a litte more slowly.

It's a step in the right direction, but it's too little too late. Consumables as implemented in Gw:en should never have seen the light of day. Consumables compensated for poor design in pve(e.g DoA) and so became a band aid and crutch for people at the same time.

Whenever i'm in a team I always sigh internally when I see those little icons pop up that means somone has activated a con set. They're just not needed.

A much better nerf would be to make them individual, rather than team based. At least then their use would be curtailed and people would have a choice to how they wanted to team.

But as I said, too little too late imho

On the whole, I'm happy they nerfed it the way they did tho. My Sin is epic again!

Still, some credit to ANet.

Essence nerf made me happy, just made the broken proffesions (aka Assassins) and the broken elite (aka Shadowform) even more broken. Quit QQing and deal with it. and heads up, i still think pits can be an ele. GoS + Obbyflesh + Stoneflesh if i am mistaken.

I don't see how this affects UW SCs? 20+33% from Deadly paradox=53% recharge, so SF can still be maintained on a E/A, No? Am I missing something, or was celerity for something else?

Just remove cons from the game, you can still beat uw/fow/doa in a reasonable time by not being terrible at this game. Hell you can heroway them.

No it's simply a QQ, people who are too lazy to bring to glyph and activate it cry here. OMG my SC will take me 5 minutes moar!!!
I say bring the old SF back, when even with arcane echo and paradox you had only 1 second to cast it before it ran out, at that point they could revert the UW change as well.

Yes, I'm abusing the posting button.

RAGE HARD!

Damn, farmer rage is funny! I just wish GW had a Toxx-clause so everyone who said they'll never play again had to put their farmbuild where their mouth is.

Personally I think it's just too bad they didn't remove all consumables from the game completely. AND Shadow Form. AND all PvE skills.

But I guess they have to start somewhere.
